Overview

Vigentis is designed with privacy as a core architectural principle. The application functions primarily as a local productivity and organization tool for public-safety professionals.

User-created operational information is stored locally on the user’s device. Vigentis does not currently operate a cloud database that automatically receives or stores case information, subject information, shift records, tasks, reminders, notes, or similar operational content created within the application.

This Privacy Policy explains how Vigentis handles information when you use the application, website, or voluntarily contact us.

Information You Provide

Vigentis allows users to enter information for their own organization and productivity purposes. Depending on how you use the application, this may include information such as:

• Profile information entered within the application.
• Shift-related information.
• Case references and organizational information.
• Subject information entered by the user.
• Tasks, reminders, follow-up items, and notes.
• Other information voluntarily entered into Vigentis.

This information is stored locally on your device and is not automatically uploaded to Vigentis.

Local Device Storage

Vigentis is currently designed to store application data locally on the device on which the application is used.

Because this information is stored locally, the security of that information also depends in part on the security of your device. Users should use appropriate device security measures, including screen locks, operating system updates, and other protections appropriate for their environment and agency requirements.

Information We Do Not Automatically Collect

The current version of Vigentis is not designed to automatically transmit user-created operational information to Vigentis.

Vigentis does not currently use the application to automatically collect or transmit:

• Case content entered by users.
• Subject information entered by users.
• Operational notes.
• Tasks or reminders.
• Shift records created within the application.
• Evidence or investigative files.
• Device location for unit tracking.
• Advertising identifiers for behavioral advertising.

Accounts and Cloud Services

The current version of Vigentis does not require a Vigentis cloud account or user account in order to use the application’s primary functionality.

Vigentis does not currently synchronize user-created operational data with a Vigentis cloud service.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Vigentis does not currently use behavioral advertising or advertising networks within the application.

The current application is not designed to transmit user-created operational information for advertising, profiling, or behavioral tracking purposes.

Support and Bug Reports

If you choose to contact Vigentis for technical support, bug reporting, feedback, or another inquiry, we may receive information that you voluntarily provide in your communication.

This may include your email address, the contents of your message, and technical information that you choose to include.

Vigentis does not automatically include case information, subject information, operational notes, or other user-created operational content in support communications.

If a support feature opens your device’s email application, you will have an opportunity to review the message before choosing whether to send it.

How We Use Information

Information voluntarily provided to Vigentis through support or other communications may be used to:

• Respond to support requests.
• Investigate reported bugs or technical problems.
• Improve Vigentis and its functionality.
• Respond to questions or feedback.
• Protect the security and integrity of Vigentis.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

Data Sharing

Vigentis does not sell user-created operational data or personal information.

Because operational information created in the current version of the application remains locally stored, Vigentis does not ordinarily possess that information and therefore does not ordinarily have that information available to disclose.

Information voluntarily sent to Vigentis through email or support communications may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to provide support, protect the service, comply with applicable law, or respond to lawful legal process.

Public-Safety and Agency Use

Vigentis is designed to assist with personal workflow, organization, reminders, and shift-related productivity.

Vigentis is not a Records Management System (RMS), Computer-Aided Dispatch system (CAD), evidence-management platform, criminal justice information repository, or a replacement for agency-approved systems.

Users are responsible for complying with the policies, procedures, retention requirements, security standards, and applicable laws of their employing agency or jurisdiction.

Information that is required to be entered, preserved, or submitted through an official agency system should be handled through that approved system.

Data Security

Vigentis is designed to reduce unnecessary transmission of user-created operational information by keeping that information locally on the user’s device.

No method of electronic storage or device security can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users remain responsible for maintaining appropriate security over their devices and for following applicable agency security requirements.

Data Retention and Deletion

User-created operational information stored by Vigentis remains locally on the device until it is deleted by the user, removed through application functionality, or otherwise removed from the device.

Information voluntarily sent to Vigentis for support or other communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, maintain support records, improve the application, protect our legal interests, or comply with applicable law.

Questions or requests concerning information you have directly submitted to Vigentis may be sent to support@vigentis.app.

Children’s Privacy

Vigentis is designed for professional productivity use and is not directed toward children.

We do not knowingly design Vigentis to collect personal information from children through the application.

Third-Party Services

If you choose to contact Vigentis using an external email provider or other third-party service, your use of that service is also subject to the privacy practices and terms of that provider.

Future versions of Vigentis may introduce optional services or integrations. If those changes materially affect how information is collected, processed, transmitted, or shared, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Vigentis evolves, our practices change, or legal and regulatory requirements change.

When material changes are made, the effective date shown on this page will be updated.
